Workplace Benefits - Supplemental Coverage

The Glades County School Board consolidating the workplace benefit insurers to Colonial Life in 2021. We will continue to offer all employees a range of Supplemental benefit plans including: Accident, Hospital Indemnity, Disability, Critical Illness/Cancer Protection and Life coverage through Colonial Life Insurance Company. The rates vary by plan, your age, and the coverage amounts. This coverage is offered on a voluntary, employee paid, payroll deduction basis. This coverage pays you directly when you have suffered a covered claim and your policy is portable which means you can take it with you should you ever leave our employment.

Effective January 1, 2023 the following Colonial Life plans will be offered on a voluntary basis:

• Accident Plan

• Hospital Indemnity or Confinement Insurance Policy

• Short Term Disability

• Critical Illness / Cancer Protection Plan

• Whole Life Insurance
